Open tickets in background tabs and step through a list

Working through a ticket list is quicker when you can open several tickets at once and move from one to the next without going back to the list. Mojo Helpdesk keeps track of the list a ticket was opened from, so the previous and next buttons follow that list, even in a new browser tab.

Open tickets in background tabs

To open a ticket in a new tab and stay on the list:

  • Hold Ctrl (⌘ on a Mac) and click the ticket title, or click the title with the middle mouse button. The ticket opens in a background tab.
  • Or hold Shift and right-click the row. Your browser's own menu appears, with Open link in new tab.

A plain right-click on a row opens Mojo's menu: Open in new tab, Snooze, Mark as unread, Find tickets from the submitter, Reply and Move to trash (some appear only when you may use them). Open in new tab switches to the new tab. The tip at the bottom of the menu is a reminder of the Ctrl+click shortcut.

Step through the list

When a ticket was opened from a ticket list, the ticket page shows its place in that list next to the previous and next buttons, for example 3 of 14.

  • Click the arrows, or press j for the previous ticket and k for the next one.
  • This works however you opened the ticket from the list: a click, Enter, Open in new tab or a background tab.
  • The list is the one you were looking at, with its filters and sort order. In My assignments, snoozed tickets are left out, as the list leaves them out.

A ticket opened some other way, for example from a link in an email, has no list: the buttons are greyed out and there is no counter.
